Norma MacDonald and Steven Bowers with perform together at Strand's
July 1, Invermere –
Strand’s Old House Restaurant in Invermere, BC invites you to a memorable evening of music with Norma MacDonald and Steven Bowers on Sunday, July 1, 2012.
Singer/songwriter Norma MacDonald, a native of New Waterford, Nova Scotia, is an extroverted introvert, a versatile performer who slides easily from theatrical poise to warm and easy camaraderie with her audiences. Her big vocals, heartfeit delivery and sharp wit reflect the mixed feelings of one who constantly moves from joy to sadness, past to future, city to town.
Her 2008 release, the forest for the trees was nominated for Female Solo Recording of the Year by both the Nova Scotia Music Awards and the East Coast Music Awards. Several singles are staples on the CBC Radio 2 playlist.
Newfoundland-born Steven Bowers, singer/songwriter/producer, today makes his home in Halifax. Two-time nominee of the East Coast Music Awards in the pop and folk categories, two-time finalist in the International Songwriting Competition and a two-time Music NS Producer of the Year award winner, he enjoys a strong following throughout Atlantic Canada and is rapidly gaining a huge fan base across the rest of the country and beyond.
Together, Norma MacDonald and Steven Bowers make a dynamite duo and the evening at Strand’s promises to be a rare musical treat. The show starts at 7:30pm and seating is limited, so it is recommended that you make your reservations early by calling 250-342-6344.
