Fresh Every Thursday!!!

Rob Dunn is the owner and publisher of the highly popular “The Valley Peak”, a small weekly publication that keeps readers eagerly awaiting the next one. Free to the reader and available nearly everywhere around the valley, it contains a light and highly entertaining variety of news, humor, and everyone’s favorite, “Robservations”.
Rob grew up in Castlegar, British Columbia and later moved to Calgary. Still having ties in his hometown, he traveled back and forth and would always stop for a break in Invermere. Fly fishing and curling, his two favourite sports also brought him to the valley many times (he has curled in the annual Bonspiel on the Lake for the last 24 years!). Every time he came to Invermere, no matter what the season, he liked it more than the time before and he promised himself that he would live here someday in the future.
Finally, seven years ago, Rob made the decision to move to Invermere and he has never looked back. In order to support himself, he worked at many jobs and each one enabled him to meet more of the local folks, who he says are so friendly and really care about each other and the community.
One of those jobs was as a caregiver to a young man named Andrew, and people will remember the two of them walking around Invermere, delivering copies of “The Local View”, a weekly news publication, to the various businesses in the town. Soon Rob began sending articles to “The View” under the title of “Robservations”. A year or so later, the owner of the publication, Steve Mantyka, was looking to sell and asked Rob if he would like to purchase it.
Rob took over and renamed it “The “Valley Peak” and the rest is history. He says, It’s easy to write about good things — things people like to read.” And they obviously do because the readership is constantly growing.
