Planning your perfect camping vacation in one of British Columbia’s provincial parks this year? Want to make sure you get the best campsite? Starting Tuesday, March 15, 2011, you can reserve your favorite spot, whether you want to pitch your tent or park your RV.
Since 2011 is the BC provincial parks system’s 100th anniversary, celebrations and events have been planned across the province. Last year, nearly 250,000 people reserved nights in BC campgrounds and that number is expected to increase this camping season. Visit http://www.bcparks100.ca to see what’s happening and when.
Reservations for all group sites and the Bowron Lake canoe circuit are available now, while all front-country campgrounds and the Berg Lake trail will be accepting reservations starting at 7am on Tuesday.
BC Parks also offers information about campsites, maps and amenities so you can make your dream camping vacation a reality. Their interactive online reservation system can be accessed at http://www.discovercamping.ca. You can also reserve your favorite campsite by phoning the call centre at 1-800-689-9025. Overseas callers can dial +1 519-826-6850.
There are also mobile web services to enable smartphone users to easily reserve a campsite or change plans from along the open road.
