If climbing is your thing, Bugaboo Provincial Park offers some amazing peaks on which to test your skills and there is trail riding, rafting and more.
A 20-minute drive south will take you to the town of Invermere, with its quaint boutiques, art galleries, restaurants and even a movie theatre. Invermere also has 2 waterside parks with sandy beaches and picnic areas. Lake Windermere offers boating, kayaking, water skiing, fishing, swimming and sight seeing.
In winter, there is lots of snow in the valley and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling are popular outdoor sports in Radium. Panorama Mountain Village, a short drive away, offers fabulous downhill skiing on some of the best slopes in North America.
