KWV09 – Kimberley – Willow Vistas
Pet-friendly and ideal for families and golf or ski groups, this 2-bedroom+loft, 3-bathroom vacation rental townhome in Willow Vistas at Kimberley Alpine Resort sleeps 8 and has its own private hot tub for after those après-ski soaks at the end of the day.
The main level features a fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and dining area and the living area has a flat-screen TV, DVD, stereo, hide-a-bed and corner gas fireplace. A west-facing deck off the living area has a BBQ and looks out onto a quiet wooded area. Also on the main level are two bedrooms, — the master, containing a queen-sized bed, TV and ensuite bathroom and the second bedroom with two double beds and a shared ensuite bathroom.
The spacious loft features a king-sized bed, TV and ensuite.
There is a washer/dryer in the unit and fresh towels, linens, dishcloths, soaps and paper products are provided. Pets are welcome too, with a small additional fee of $25 per night or $100 for 4 nights or more.
It’s only a 3-minute drive to the parking area at the ski hill and you can walk there in just 10 minutes a return in 15 minutes.
Winter-time activities at Kimberley Alpine Resort include skiing and snowboarding for every ability, with 1,800 acres of gently rolling runs and deep graded terrain. Cross-country ski or snowshoe, skate on the large outdoor rink or even try dogsledding. Hungry? Stop at Montana’s Cookhouse at the ski base for some great family fare and in the evenings, enjoy the live music and friendly folks at the Stemwinder Bar and Grill.
Summer time offers plenty to do, with hiking and biking along trails in the nearly 2,000 acres of varied terrain in Kimberley Nature Park, one of the largest municipal parks in Canada. There are several nearby golf courses that offer exciting golfing and there’s world-class fly fishing, hiking, biking, kayaking, rafting and more. If you want a day in town, a visit to the Bavarian-themed Platzl will offer shopping and fine dining on authentic European cuisine.
