Situated in Invermere’s lovely Fort Point area, this 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home which sleeps up to 9 people is a short walk from Kinsmen Beach on Lake Windermere and is close to everything Invermere’s downtown has to offer.

On the main floor, there is an open-concept kitchen and dining area, a living area with flat-screen TV, DVD, stereo and stone-faced wood-burning fireplace, as well as a full bathroom. This level opens out to a wrap-around deck with BBQ and patio furniture, looking south to a sweeping view of the lake.

The lower level has a den with a double-sized futon, the master bedroom with queen-sized bed, another bedroom with a queen bed and one with a double/single bunk combination. There is another full bath on this level.

Washer and dryer are located in the home and there is a plug-in internet modem (wired internet). Fresh towels, linens, dishcloths, soaps and all paper products are supplied.

Kinsmen Beach is wide and sandy and has a lovely, shaded park with picnic tables, washrooms and a concession which operates during the summer months. The lake itself offers swimming, boating, kayaking, water skiing, wakeboarding, fishing, sightseeing and more. You can also golf at one of over a dozen championship golf courses either right in the town or an easy drive away. Hike the mountain trails in the vicinity or canoe into the Columbia wetlands to view over 200 species of birds that have their homes in the marshes. You can get a birds-eye view of the area in a helicopter or, of course, browse in the shops and art galleries in Invermere’s downtown section. There are outdoor cafes, family and fine dining restaurants, pubs, a movie theatre and lots more.

Winter-time activities include skating or a game of hockey on the lake, and curling in the Bonspiel-on-the-Lake in January. Only a 20-minute drive takes you to Panorama Mountain Village where you can ski down one of North America’s longest vertical descents, or the many other beautifully groomed trails, cross-country or heli-ski, snowboard, snowshoe, or even dogsled!
