Located on the ground floor of the Poplar building at The Peaks, this vacation rental condo in Radium Hot Springs BC sleeps a couple.
The floor plan is open and features a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and a living area with TV, DVD and access to a south-facing walk-out patio with BBQ and patio furniture. There is a full bathroom and the bedroom has a double bed. There is also a blow-up bed for another adult.
The property is air-conditioned and there is a washer and dryer. Fresh towels, linens, dishcloths, soaps and paper products are supplied. Note: There is no internet. A hot tub is available for your pleasure year-round and there is a heated outdoor pool during the summer months.
There is great golfing at both the Radium Resort and the Radium Springs golf courses right in the village and nearby are several other excellent courses. If you like hiking, Kootenay National Park is right next door, offering miles of trails and wonderful opportunities to view and photograph the flora and fauna of the Rocky Mountains. Climbing is great at Bugaboos Provincial Park just a short drive away. Take a trail ride or do some rafting on the Columbia River too.
For boating, fishing, swimming, picnicking or just sunning on a sandy beach, Invermere’s Lake Windermere is just down the road. And afterward, do some shopping at the town’s quaint boutiques and, perhaps, pay a visit to an art gallery and lunch at a cute outdoor cafe. There’s even an old-fashioned theatre if you want to catch a movie.
In winter, you can enjoy cross-country skiing or snowshoeing on nearby groomed trails or take a short trip to Panorama Mountain Resort for memorable downhill, heli-skiing or snowboarding — even dogsledding for the adveturous!
Radium Hot Springs boasts some fine eating places when you want to take a break from cooking. Try a latte and fresh muffin for breakfast at a lovely cafe, take home a pizza or dine in style at one of the many restaurants serving authentic European and North American cuisine. And don’t forget to stop at Screamer’s ice cream shop for a real treat on a hot day.
