Purcell Mountain Painters art show
May 15-27, Invermere –
Did you know that the Columbia Valley has its very own painting collective? It may not be as well known as the famous Group of Seven, but the 30-members-strong Purcell Mountain Painters have been painting their interpretations of the breathtaking local landscapes for over 14 years.
Their art will be on display at Pynelogs Cultural Centre from May 15th to 27th. The show will feature the work of 18 members of the group, and will include landscapes and portraits. Something different and exciting will be taking place down at Pynelogs Cultural Centre from October 4–16 as local painting group, the Purcell Mountain Painters, will be hosting their art show! This group has held their annual show at Pynelogs for four years and, as a group, have been a part of the Tour of the Arts each year. This will certainly be a show to make time to get out and see.

Enthusiastic classic car fans will soon be pouring into Radium Hot Springs for the eagerly anticipated annual Columbia Valley Classics Autumn Show and Shine to be held on Friday and Saturday, September 16 and 17, 2011. Last solo show of the summer

Another solo show will be up at Pynelogs from August 23rd to September 4th! This show has tremendous talent, so if you have been meaning to take in the gallery this will be a great time to do so. The artist opening will be Wednesday August 24th from 7-9 pm at Pynelogs. It’s a fun time to visit with the artists and friends, enjoy some wonderful art, and if it’s a nice night wander onto the deck and sip a glass of wine!
