Pynelogs Gallery Exhibition

Jul 11, 2017 - Jul 30, 2017

Pynelogs Art Gallery

This Pynelogs gallery exhibition in Invermere features the works of:

Gerry George – Ceramics
“I was introduced to pottery by my partner in a studio I built behind the garage. After a few lessons, I discovered that throwing clay was not as easy as I thought it would be
and I have spent the past six years trying to improve my skills. I continue to learn something new every day and I think this is one of the most interesting aspects of ceramic.”

Angelique Gillespie – Mixed Media
“I have been redefining my visual voice and imaginative spirit into abstract collages through strong design. My works integrate movement while often intertwining past artwork with a new spiritual essence. My use of strong colors is from my birth culture, while the strong line and pattern are intuitively influenced by drafting and quilting exposures along the journey of life.”

Jim Lawrence – Photography
“I am an ethical photographer and environmentalist, and strive to present images that instill understanding of our fragile wilderness, and inspire respect for life in endangered ecosystems. I aspire to crystallize the character of the animals and consider observation privileges of an animal’s life a profound honor.”

Kimberly Olson – Variety of Mediums
“‘Awkward’ (chances are you are uncomfortable) Synonyms: Uncoordinated,
graceless, ungainly, gawky, maladroit: clumsy, lacking dexterity, proficiency, or skill. Awkwardness is simultaneously non-threatening and entertaining (usually more entertaining for the witnesses). We all have awkward experiences in our lives and this exhibit will be a celebration of those vulnerable moments.”

Mary Kate Woodward – Line Drawing
“My preferred artistic language is line. Drawing communicates directly with viewers, often more quickly and intuitively than speech. I use line to describe subjects, define personalities, explain relationships between individuals, create and promote interest in line as a unique art form.”

There will be an Artist Party Soiree on July 11 from 7 to 9 pm. Get to meet and chat with the artists and enjoy the cash bar and live music.

The Pynelogs Gallery Exhibition can be viewed during opening hours every day from 11 am to 5 pm. Please drop in at your leisure to view the current show. There is no charge.
