The Kimberley Nordic Centre, located near the Kimberley Alpine Resort, is the home of the Kimberley Nordic Club. There are over 30 km of trails that offer great adventures in every season.
In winter, the trails are snowcat-groomed for exceptional cross-country skiing for every age and experience level. There are single and double track trails and skate lanes and for some phenomenal night skiing 7 nights a week, you can take the 3.3 kilometre lit loop.
When the weather turns warm, the trails are popular for hiking and biking and because the Kimberley Nordic Centre trails hook up with the Kimberley Nature Park, they offer an ideal network for some serious outdoor recreation.
The rustic 1,200 sq ft lodge, washrooms and a waxing hut make this the base camp for events such as the annual Round the Mountain Festival in June. Kixs Nor Am races, the Snowkids program, the Kootenay Cup, the New Years Eve Torchlight Ski, the Iron Legs Pentathlon.
Directions: Drive past the Kimberley Alpine Resort on Gerry Sorenson Way and continue until the road becomes North Star Drive. The Nordic Centre is at the end of this road.
